Mother, Florine Smith Turner was born December 14,

1950 to the late General Pruitt and Johnnie Mae Smith.

At an early age she accepted Christ and joined St. Peter

Baptist Church and later moved her membership to

Oakey Grove Promise Land.

On January 4, 2018 after an extended illness, God saw fit

to call her home.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mose Pruitt

and Joe Pruitt; two sisters, Annie Jewel Smith and Edna

Burks; and one son, Ricky Smith.

She leaves to cherish a devoted husband, George Turner

of Edwin, AL; daughter, Angela (Kenneth) Trice of

Abbeville, AL; sons, Billy Smith and Mack Smith of

Edwin, AL; sister, Omekia Pruitt of Clayton, AL; two

brothers, Billy Mack (Edna) Smith and Christopher

Pruitt of Clayton, AL; step-mother, Catherine Pruitt of

Clayton, AL; six grandchildren, Brandon Thomas,

Michael Smith, Shelby Smith, Michael C Thomas,

Jenisha Smith, and Mauricio Smith; nine great

grandchildren; four children that she raised, Charles

Burks, Juanita Burks, Charlene Burks and Tuesday

Tillis; two special friends, Willie Mae Grubbs and Willie

Dean Allen; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law;

God-daughter, Ethel Well, a host of nieces and nephews

to include four special ones, Geraldine Burks, Cynthia

Laster, Monche Turner and Herbert Turner; and other

sorrowing relatives and friends.
