Mrs. Mary Alice Hollis Grubbs was born October 25, 1931 to the late Clayton Hollis and Flossie Mae Griffin in Kinsey, Alabama. She later moved to Dothan, AL where she met her husband, Willie C. Grubbs. The husband and wife duo joined North Highland Baptist Church and served faithfully until God called them home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Grubbs; her parents, Flossie Mae Griffin and Clayton Hollis; a son, Joe Nathan Grubbs Jr; a grand-daughter, Yolande Michelle Books; and four sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children, Alice Faye (David) McDonald, Christine Hammock, Bobbie Nell Jordan, Tommy Ray Grubbs, Linda (Gary) Wheeler, and Anthony (Tiny) Grubbs, all of Dothan, Alabama; twenty-two grandchildren; fiftyseven great grandchildren; eight sisters, Ceola McCarter, and Daisy Cummings of Dothan, AL, Sadie Neal of New Jersey, Ada Pearson of Quincy, FL, Lucille Young, Betty Hollis, and Equilla Hollis, all of Tampa, FL, and Sarah Hollis of Washington D.C.; three brothers, JT Temmis of Dothan, AL, Eddie Lee (Irestine) Hollis of Quincy, FL, and Willie D Hollis of Pinckard, AL; brother and sisters-in-law, Wallace Cummings of Dothan, AL Rosie Hollis of Napier Field, Earline Hollis of Quincy, FL, and Ira J (Sammy) Sanits; a special friend of many years, Cary Lee (Guitar) Snell of Marianna, FL; two special guys in her life that she loved as her own sons, Kenneth Robinson and Eddie Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
