Southern Memorial Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Mrs. Annie Ruth Staley 78, of Skipperville Alabama. Services are entrusted to. Southern Memorial. The Ones Who Truly Care! Mrs. Annie Ruth Staley was born December 1, 1938 to the parentage of the late TB and Idell Glanton. She went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2017 at her home in Skipperville, AL.

Annie Ruth, accepted Christ at an early age. In the 1970s she joined the Roselle Christian Church of Roselle, NJ. She served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Rev. Mother Derris Cargile. She later moved her membership to the Newark Christian Church. Annie was a member of the Emergency Choir, Nurse Ministry, Hospitality Committee and Usher Ministry. She was a baptized believer in Jesus Christ.

In 1989, Ann and her husband, Pastor William, moved back to Alabama. There, they opened the doors of The Alabama Missionary Church in Edwin, AL, under the Bishop Phillip F. Cargile; where she was assistant to her husband. She remained faithful until her health declined, yet she never gave up on God.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, TB and Idell Glanton; brother, Charlie Glanton; uncles, Chancey Glanton and Willie Glanton; and nephews, Daniel Glanton and Gregory Glanton

Those left to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Pastor William Staley Jr; Step-son, William (Patria) Staley III of Ft. Mills, SC; six grandchildren; sister, Tomie Hughes,; brothers, James Glanton of Clopton, AL, John Glanton of Union, NJ, Thomas (Della) Glanton of Clio, Al; aunts, Lou , Minnie Culver, and Beulah Glanton; sister and brothers-in-law, Barbara Staley, Berlind Staley, Keith Staley, Derrick Staley, Michael Staley, Chester Staley, and Alonzo Staley; a faithful cousin, Sharon Glanton; a host of nieces and nephews; "Our Overseer", Bishop Phillip F. Cargile and Prophetess, Ruth Cargile of Ft. Mills, SC, The whole Church Family of Ft Mills, SC, where she was lovingly known as, "Missionary Ann" to the entire Family of God; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
