Mrs. Mamie Gean Nelson Blackmon was born to the late Charles Lee

Ross and Hattie Pearl Nelson on January 6, 1960, in Eufaula, AL.

Mamie, departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on June

4, 2018.

Mamie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of River of

Life. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Carl Blackmon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Blackmon; children,

Denise Nelson and Marvin Nelson; mother, Hattie Pearl Nelson;

father, Charles Lee Ross; sisters, Lillian Walton, Elmire Williams,

and Nancy Dell Nelson.

Mamie leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Carolyn (Lamont

Pearson) Nelson of Eufaula, AL; son, Rickey Nelson of Eufaula, AL;

five grandchildren, Ebony Foley, Kisha Nelson, Carl Nelson, Carriss

Blackmon, and Tyrese Blackmon; one great-grandchild; six sisters,

Loretta Nelson (Eric) Foley, Willie Mae (Johnny) Blackmon,

Maelean Williams, Rosie Lee Johnson, Mattie (Edward) Quarles, and

Ruby Nell (Michael) Williams; three brothers, Frank Lee Nelson,

Johnny Ed (Gladys Rodgers) Nelson, and Charles (Sabrina) Nelson;

three God-Children, Jessica Whigham, Miracle Eutsey and Chris

Blackmon all of Eufaula, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews; and

other sorrowing relatives and friends.
