Mr. Milton Brown Jr was born on October 8, 1947 in Georgetown, GA

to the late Charlie Mae Rice and Milton Brown Sr. He was raised by

his grandparents, Mr. Lawrence Rice Sr and Georgia Rice.

Milton accepted Christ at an early age and joined Green Grove

Missionary Baptist Church, Georgetown, GA; he later moved his

membership and joined First Missionary Baptist Church, Georgetown,

GA. When he relocated to Abbeville, he joined St. Peter Baptist

Church, Abbeville, AL.

He graduated from Kaigler High School in 1967, and joined the

military in 1969. Milton served in the Army and National Guard for a

total of 12 years. During his military career he was awarded the

following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service

Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and

Good Conduct Medal.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Gloria Sewell Brown for thirtythree

years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather,

Booker T. Malone; sister, Annie B. Malone; grandparents, Lawrence

Rice Sr and Georgia Rice; three aunts, Lillie R. Callaway, Ella R.

Daniels, and Nina D. Cameron; and two uncles, Willie and David Rice.

He leaves to cherish and mourn his memory his loving wife, Gloria

Brown of Abbeville, AL; son, Maurice Sewell of Virginia Beach, VA;

daughter, Rasheeda Jackson of Headland, AL; eight grandchildren;

three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Tommie Malone of Cleveland,

OH, Patricia Spencer of Palm Beach, FL, and Mary (Vicente) Melton

of Eufaula, AL; brother, Eddie (Patricia) Melton of Atlanta, GA; three

aunts, Betty Rice Henley of Georgetown, GA, Robbie Paige of

Columbus, GA, and Mary (Nathaniel) Jarrell of South Bay, FL; three

uncles, L.C. Rice of Delray Beach, FL, Russell (Shelby) Rice of

Georgetown, GA, and Lawrence Rice Jr of Georgetown, GA; and a

host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
