Arnetta Dawkins was born January 18, 1941 to the late Mary Griggs and Favor Dawkins. Arnetta accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Luke A.M.E. church in Eufaula, Alabama where she was serving as a stewardess, mis-sionary and several others positions, for many many years. She attended T.V. McCoo Highschool where she graduated. She worked at Barbour County Hospital as a Nurses Aid and at Ala-bama Power Company for many years until she became disa-bled.
Arnetta left many memories with her (3) children; Mary (Bobby) Hodge, Linda (Yancey) Hartzog and Brenda Dawkins (8) grandchildren. Arnetta Hodge, Ronda (Nick), Buenoflor, Monique Hodge, Darion Dawkins, Yolanda Dawkins, Tarrance Dawkins, Stanley Dawkins, and Whitney Dawkins, two brothers Thomas (Betty) Morris and Richard Morris, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many life long friends.
Even in her sickness she would spare no expense to help others, We celebrate the life of a great and wonderful mother and friend. Although she blew out her last candle her life will forever be in our hearts.
Arnetta is preceded in death by her sister; Dorothy Nell Portor.
