Southern Memorial Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Mr. Arthur Lee Trawick, of Dothan Alabama. Services are entrusted to Southern Memorial. The Ones Who Truly Care! When Only The Best Will Do. We ask that you please keep the Trawick Family in your prayers, as they travel this journey, of the lost of their Love one.
Arthur Lee (Two Sweet) Trawick was born in Dothan, Alabama
on October 12, 1950. He was a star athlete and graduated from
Carver High School. Upon graduation Sweet entered the United
States Army where he served in Vietnam as a combat soldier,
served as a National Honor Guard, and ended his service with an
honorable discharge. He continued to serve his country as an
engineer in the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D. C. While
there he and Carolyn Gethers parented the love of their lives,
Jamal Rasheed.
Jamal and his father were inseparable. Whether teaching him to
swim, play basketball or provide academic support he always
wanted Jamal to excel. The birth of Kendall, Jamal’s daughter was
the highlight of his aging years. Pop Pop was smitten and
overjoyed with his princess.
First to take the heavenly journey was Daddy, Joe Henry Jr.,
followed, Momma Ossie, was next, Lettie B. and Larry entered
just before Sweet took his heavenly walk on February 6.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Jamal Trawick; Carolyn
Gethers (mother of his son); grand-daughter, Kendal Trawick;
siblings, Willie J (Bertha) Trawick, Betty (Tullie) White, Donald
(Ethel) Trawick, and Gary Trawick; sister-in-law, Pia Carswell;
and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
