Mrs. Betty Richardson was born in Abbeville, Alabama on May 6, 1944 to the late Woodie Merrill and his wife Missouri Merrill. Her biological mother was Rosie White. She departed her life on March 11, 2014 at the Noland Hospital in Dothan, AL.
At an early age she gave her life to God and joined Sandville Baptist Church. Later she moved her membership to First African Baptist Church.
She attended school in Henry County, Alabama. Her earlier life she worked at Nursing Home in Eufaula, Alabama and Kmart. She was a caretaker for Mrs. Harris until her recent sickness. Mrs. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her yard.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ernest Richardson.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory one son, Calvin (Denise) Richardson; two daughters: Theresa (Mike) Marshall and Denise Ogle; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother: Willie Ed Grimsley of Connecticut; one sister, Shelia King of Eufaula, Alabama; two former sons-in-law: Donald (Sherry) McCarthy and Steve Ogle; one very caring cousin: Albert Williams; two special friends: Michael Robinson and Jewel Bobbins; two special nephews: Woodie Merrill of Montgomery, AL and Lou Arthur Merrill of Tennessee; a special niece Ida Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
