When Only The Best Will Do!! We ask that you please keep the Thornton Family in your prayers.  Sister Betty Sue Thornton was born August 16, 1941 in Henry
County, Alabama to the late Johnny Will Walker and Willene
M. Walker. She departed her wonderful life on Thursday,
November 16, 2016 at Flowers Hospital, Dothan, Alabama.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age at Free Will Baptist
Church in Headland, AL. She later moved her membership to
Greater Shiloh Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, R. J. Thornton; three
sisters, Linnie Walker, Alice Salter and Mary Ann Walker; two
brothers, Willie Charles (Jimmy) Walker and Charles Dozier.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three precious children,
Kenny Thornton, Sherman (Crystal) Thornton and Dewayne
(Bridget) Thornton all of Headland, AL; thirteen loving
grandchildren, Thad Floyd, Eric Johnson, Zacarious Glanton,
Kenny (Jr) Thornton, Scotty Thornton, Kendretta Thornton,
Charmayne Thornton, Nicholas Thornton, Dewayne Thornton,
Devonta Thornton, Chanel Stringer, Jordyn McGlown,
Hy’Neraka Glanton, and Quan’Davion Fields; eighteen greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Willie Mae Ward and Evelyn Walker
both of Headland, AL; three brothers, Johnny C. Walker of
Headland, AL, Jack Walker and Jessie Walker both of Dothan,
AL; aunt, Grace Jordan of Newville, AL; two sisters-in-law,
Lillie Davis of Cocoa, FL and Clara White of Dothan, AL; and
a host of relatives and friends.
