Grubbs Family Mortuary sadly announces the passing of Mr. Calvin Milton 82, of Eufaula Alabama. Services are entrusted to. Grubbs Family Mortuary. A Name You Can Trust And Stand On! When Only The Best Will Do. We ask that you please keep the #Milton family in your prayers as they travel through this difficult journey.
Calvin (Lock) Milton Jr was born in Lougo, AL on March 16, 1939 to the late Calvin Milton Sr and Sessa Mae Milton. He was raised in Eufaula, AL, where during his younger years, he was gainfully employed for the City of Eufaula and Dixson Lumber Company. He later met and married Mattie Mae.
His life changed when he surrendered his life and accepted God as his
personal savior and became a member of the Magnolia Bible Church under the divine leadership of Pastor Benjamin Crawford on August 21, 2016. On April 21, 2021, Calvin was called to take his eternal rest.
Calvin enjoyed sitting in the yard, watching old cowboy movies, eating and singing gospel music. He was a member of the gospel singing group "The Eufaula Singing Angels" for many years. Most of all, he loved the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a daughter, Ora Bell (James)
Howard, Eufaula, AL; a son, Darren (Clarissa) McElroy, Dothan, AL; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a loving, sincere and devoted mate, Mrs. Luretha Jackson; special angels and friends, Mr. Leymon and Julia Lynn and a host of friends.
If Tears Could Build A Stairway
If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane. I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say "Goodbye". You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why. My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you, no one can ever know. But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more; To remember all the happy times life still has much in store. Since you'll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today~ A hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.
From Your Daughter, Ora and Son, Darren

I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call: I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found my place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too shall miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow: I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savoured much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my life seemed all too brief: Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free
