David Lee Stephens

Mr. David Lee Stephens was born on May 14, 1948 in Henry County, Alabama.

He departed this life in the comfort of his home on May 22, 2013.

He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where he sang in the choir until his health declined.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Thelma Stephens, (Shorterville, Alabama). in 1969, he married Ruthine Nunnally to this union five children were born, two of which preceded him in death, Jamar and Cassandra Stephens. Those remaining: Regina Stephen, (Shorterville, Alabama), Lakeisha Stephens (steven), (Abbeville, Alabama) and Stacey Stephens (Juanita), Junction City, Kansas; five grandchildren and one great grand: Amber, Kem, Lamont, jamir, Xydira and Amani; five aunts: Mittie Alice Brown, (New York), Alberta Sparrow, (Cambria, New York), Oxxie Leath, (New Jersey), Alice Spates, and Eddie Dean McPherson (Richard) both of Ft. Lauderdale Florida; one uncle, Edward Willis (Mildred), Ft. Lauderdale Florida; a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friendships too many to name.
