Edna Laresha Walton was born on May 21st , 1975 to Jewel L. Slater and the late Henry Mack Rivers. She departed from this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Mack River and her grandfather, Robert Blackmon.

Edna leaves to cherish her lasting memories: her nine children, Desmond Walton, Katrina Walton, Stephon Walton, Dywaun Walton, Willie Walton, Ty-rone Walton, Zy’quavious Walton, Ja’nerya Bennet, and Joe Bennet, Jr.; six grandchildren: Zoey, Chloe, Liam Scott, Lauryn Scott, , Dámoni and Zariah; her loving and devoted mother, Jewel Slater and step-father, John Slater; her special grandmother, Edna Pearl Blackmon; three brothers, Charlie Walton (Denise), Anthony Wal-ton, and Carlos James (Chikara) Walton; one sister, Trivia L. (Phantom) Grant and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers,

that we saw sitting there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,

as any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all,

just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts
