EMMA LOU JOHNSON, affectionately called "Momma" by her loved ones, was born March 1, 1924, in Russell County, AL to Amos and Mamie Palmore.
Emma was a loving and devoted wife. During her life, she was blessed to have marital bliss with 4 husbands. From these unions, Emma cared for and nurtured her 8 children, along with many others. If anyone needed a warm home or shoulder to lean on, Emma was always there.
At an early age, Emma joined St. Paul Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her death. She never met a stranger, had an infectious personality, and kept everyone laughing with her many life stories. Emma loved to work in her garden, fish, watch Western movies & wrestling, and spend time with her family. She also loved her dogs, cats, and most of all, her "Saturday Night Special".
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 husbands, 11 siblings, and 6 children.
Emma leaves to continue her legacy and cherish her memory: Her Daughters Annie (David) Flowers of Eufaula, AL, Mayme Flowers of Clayton, AL and Sons Young Tony Williams of Dothan, AL and Willie L Pass of West Palm Beach, FL; Sisters Virginia and Willie Bell of Tampa, FL; 31 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
