James Edward Pruitt, Jr.

Mr. James Pruitt, Jr,. was born on November 5, 1951 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Fred and Elray Lue Pruitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank Pruitt and Robert Pruitt both of Dothan, Alabama.

He met and married Mary Lois Ward of Ashford, Alabama.

​He leaves to cherish in his loving memory his wife: twelve children and four stepchildren: Greg Brown of Dothan, Alabama, Kecia Jackson of  Dothan, Alabam, Michael Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia, Mitchell Fields of Montgomery, Alabama, Tamara Walker of Dothan, Alabama, Tymika (Demestre) Pruitt Walker of Hinesville, Georgia, Gloria Reeves of Headland, Alabama, Bridgette Mosley of Dothan, Alabama, Brittany Chambers of Dothan, Alabama, Frederick Mosley of Dothan, Alabama, Janay Wilson of Dothan, Alabama, Corey Pruitt of Dothan, Alabama, Antonio Ward of Dothan, Alabama, Phillip Ward of Dothan, Alabama, Brandon Ward of Dothan,Alabama and Stephanie Ward of Dothan, Alabama; forty-two grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; two brothers: Wiley (Darlene) Smith of Troy, Alabama and Charles (Constance) Pruitt of Chester, Virginia; two sisters: Diann Pruitt of Dothan, Alabama and Beverly (Kenneth) Jackson of Dothan, Alabama; aunts and uncles: Mamie Joyce Berry of Meridan, Mississippi, Hazel (Bruce) Williams of Troy, Alabama, Juanita (Charlie) Green of Troy, Alabama, Bobby Joe (Gussie) Silers, Chicago, Illinois and David Jackson of Henderson, Alabama; godson: Kevin Dorsey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
