Life like each season has beauty of its own. Seeds are planted, they sprout, they blossom, and they're gone. A seed was planted and it sprouted on February 11, 1952 in Dothan, Alabama. Thus beginning the life of Janaver Terry born to Mrs. Voncille Pruitt and the late Frederick Jackson of Dothan Alabama.
Ms. Terry was promoted from the labor of time to the refreshment of eternity by the Grand Master on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Alabama.
Ms. Terry accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became a member of Patterson Street Freewill Baptist Church uner the leadership of the late Rev. James Clark. Where she also was a faithful musician.
For her earthly education she attended Dothan City Schools, graduating from Dothan High School. She received a trade at the United States Job Corp, in Morganfield, Kentucky.
As a child she grea a passion for music, then became aware of the gifting and calling she had of being a skillfull and soulful singer; as well as the ability to play many musical instruments. Up unitl the decline of her health. She exemplified her joy of music by sharing it with the church, family, friends and the upcoming generation.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Frederick Jackson; great grandmother, Mrs. Lessie Nix; grandfather, Mr. Sam Teague; sister, Ms. Vander Finch and aunts: Carrie Ward and Parlee Barnes.
Cherishing the memory of Ms. Terry and awaiting their exit from the land of the dying to be reunited with the land of the livng are: loving mother, Mrs. Voncille Pruitt; grandmother, Lucille Teague; sister, Teresa (Alvin) Beacham; nieces, Vonger Stewart, LaShanda (Rico) Finch, Demetrice (Jeremy) McCall; nephews, Shon Beacham, Monteze Beacham; great nephews, Vontaeveus Finch, Jervon Nelson; great-great nieces, Jahlesia McCall, Jeshala Beacham and Nashya Beacham ; great-great nephews, Daylen McCall, Ahmad Robinson and Nazier Beacham; great-great-great nieces, Genesis Finch and great-great nephew, Maliachi Jackson and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
