We ask that you please keep the Brutley family in your prayers as they travel through this difficult journey.Ms. Janie Mae Brutley was called from this earthly journey and entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Lakeview Community Hospital in Eufaula, AL. She was the daughter of the late Hattie Pearl Scott and Sammy Scott, Jr. She was born September 4, 1960. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Sardis Baptist Church. She was joined in holy matrimony to Tommy Lee Brutley who preceded her in death. She worked at Crowne Health and River oaks Retirement Home for many years. She enjoyed taking care of others. Precious memories will be cherished by her family which includes: four daughters and one son: Tammy Brutley (James Wheeler), Tracy Brutley (Romoane Allen), Octavia (Jermaine) Jackson, Whitney (Jimmy) Johnson and Jamale (Jasmia) Rivers. Two children she raised, Logan Michael Scott and Benard Rivers, Jr. She also leaved behind a significant other, Bernard Rivers, Sr. Four brothers: Tommy (Natalie) Scott, Henry Scott (Juanita Ellington), Malcolm (Tera) Scott, Alton (Rachel) Scott; twelve grandchildren: Jaida, Hayley, Jaylen, Justin, Carter, Gaven, Jorden, Ja’nay, King, Messiah, Kingston, Jhene’sia and Chase; also several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Don’t Don’t spend too much time in mourning. Tears are for the sad. I left to be with Jesus And this should make you glad Don’t waste you hours in grieving. No need to feel distress. I’m tired of life’s frustrations. And had to get some rest. Don’t vex yourself with questions, Or try to reason why. Don’t lose the love I have for you. Don’t fret because my leaving came in such a way. A Tribute to Our Mother To Our Loving Mother, We thank God for all the times we were so very fortunate to have you with us, mother. It would take books to write about you. Thank you for always being there with a helping hand, a big smile and laughter. You were loving and thoughtful in a Christian way. You were our friend, our hero, our mother. You were always eager to give and share for all those in need. For the best you tried to live, your mistakes, He will forgive. Mother, we salute you, we love you and you will never be forgotten.
