A Distant Echo
We walked different paths, you and I,
A Gulf between us beneath the sky .
A longed for connection, a guiding hand,
But silence fell across the land.
Now you’re gone, and the ache remains,
A bitter sweet melody of love and pains.
I search for echos of what could have been,
A father’s love, A daughter’s Kin.
Though closeness eluded us in life’s design,
A daughter’s life forever thine.
I whisper your name on the gentle breeze,
And hope you hear, a midst the trees,
Love your Daughter,
Kimberly.
