Jessie B (Hawkins) Richardson

Mrs. Jessie B. Richardson born on January 22, 1949 in the loving care of th late Mr. F.J. Hawkins and Mrs. Robbie Crossley Hawkins.

Jessie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Daleville, Alabama.

In 1966, she married the love of her life, the late Sergeant 1st Class Johnnie L.E. Richardson, Sr., and to this union four children were born. During her life as  military wife and mother, she worked at Lyster Army Hospital, where she later retired in 2012.

On Sunday,November 4, 2012, she departed this life at her home in Daleville, Alabama.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Johnnie L.E. Richardson, Jr. (Edith) of Conyers, Georgia; three daughters, Diahann Whittington (Harold) Fort Lee, Virginia, Stephanie Benson (Carnell) of Daleville, Alabama an Michelle Fortson (Erwin) of Daleville, Alabama; a loving mother, Robbie Crossley Hawkins, Eufaula, Alabama; three brothers, J.L. Hawkins (Hilda) of Eufaula, Alabama, Lawrence Hawkins (Yvonnie) of Winter Haven, Florida and F.J. Hawkins, Jr. (Bertha) of Eufaula, Alabama; three sisters, Annie Brown (Robert) of Eufaula, Alabama, Vera Hawkins, Augusta, Georgia and Robbie Treadwell, Headland, Alabama; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
