Johnny B Smith

Mr. Johnny B. Smith was born in Clayton, AL on November 15, 1942 to Bennie Smith and Ella Crews. He departed this life June 20, 2014 at Barbour County Medical Center.

​At an early age Johnny joined Jones Chapel AME Church. He then left to go and live in New York. Later he moved back home and began working at Easy Pay Tire Store where he retired with over 30 years of service.

​He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tamera Tiegs and grandchild, Derreon Bowens.

​He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith of Eufaula, AL; four daughters, Angela Rumph of Dothan, AL, Katherine Murphy-Green (Nathan) of Montgomery, AL, Latisha and Crystal Williams both of Troy, AL; five step-children, Christopher Thomas of Knoxville, TN, Farrah Lewis (Keith) of Atlanta, GA., Toriano Thomas (Tanya) of Eufaula, AL, Anthony Murphy of Busan, Korea, Jeremy Murphy of Eufaula, AL; six brothers, Willie B. Smith of Clayton, AL, Garney Crews (Bernadette) of Middletown, NY, and Bennie Smith Jr. of Clayton, AL, Peter Edward Smith (Polly) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Harrison Smith (Teresa) of Bakerhill,AL, Robert Daniels (Jewel) of Louisville, AL; six sisters, Regina Jones of Clayton, AL, Betty J. Smith of Clayton, AL, Mattoria Brascom (Coach) and Alberta Smith both of Clayton, AL; Callie M. Montgomery of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Louise Mckinnes of Clayton, AL; two aunts, Nellie Mayweather (Lee) of Richmond, VA, Wonnie Mae Smith of Clayton, AL; 1 grandchild, Deandra Bowens; two step-grandchildren, Abria Warren and Tori Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
