Mrs. Leola Grubbs was born on May 13, 1929 to the late Wash and Gus Bowden.
Leola departed her life on November 7, 2020 at Dale Medical Center. She was preced-ed in death by her husband, John Edward Grubbs; two children, Johnny C. Grubbs and Josephine Grubbs.
She leaves behind to give God thanks her in their memories of her life, her loving and devoted children: five sons, Eddie (Dorothy) Grubbs of Abbeville, Alabama, Thomas C. (Rebecca) Grubbs of Clio, Alabama, Willie James (Betty) Grubbs of Abbeville, Alabama, Johnny (Rachel) Grubbs of Skipperville, Ala-bama and James (Kathy) Grubbs of Skipper-ville, Alabama; three daughters: Ruby Kelley of Clayton, Alabama, Lola White of Abbeville, Alabama and Johnnie Johnson of Skipperville, Alabama; twenty-three grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; six great-great grandchil-dren; a special friend, sister-in-law and fishing buddy, Gussie Blackmon and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
