Marcus Delano Henry, Sr of Eufaula, AL was born on November 3, 1969. He passed on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 51.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny A. Henry, Sr and son Brandon C. Henry.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Eufaula, AL. Marcus loved the Lord.

Marcus was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He was full of life and always made you smile. He always gave advice even if you wanted to hear it or not. Marcus was devoted to his grandchildren. He was very hard worker on houses and an excellent cook in the kitchen.

He leaves to cherish memories, his children, Marcus (Katie) Henry, Jr of Wilmingham, NC, Delaneo (Stephanie) Pryor of Okeechobee, FL, Nickolas (Courtney) Henry of Athens, GA, Kavon Diggs of Auburn, AL, Akira Patrick and Delana (Marquis Jackson) Henry, both of Eufaula, AL; mother, Mary Ella McElroy Henry Simmons; his fiancé, Teresa; brothers, Johnny (Gwendolyn) Henry, Jr and Joshua (Shannon) Henry, both of Okeechobee, FL; sisters, Juanita Henry and Lafaye En-finger, both of Eufaula, AL, and Lonita (Todd) McArthur of Fort Leav-enworth, KS; grandchildren, Brandon Jr, Abriella, Serenity, Christian, Skylar, Brielle, Ariah, Ellis, Nickolas Jr, Delaneo Jr, Damian, Madisyn and Christopher; daughter-in-law, Queen Henry of Eufaula, AL and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

Eulogy .................................................................. Rev. W. Williams

To lose someone so special,

is really hard to bare.

It hardly seems believable that

you’re no longer there

You left us far too early before

your time it seems

And now you’ll never have the chance

to fulfill all those dreams.

However, hard it is though we’ll

take comfort in the thought

Of all the memories we have

and the happiness you brought,

You always lived life to the fullest

But ours won’t be the same until the day when

We can see your smiling face again.
