Marilyn Billings, affectionately known as "Bye-By" was born on July 21, 1958 to Dorothy Mae and the late Marion Billings, Sr., in Quiman County, Georga. She attended Kaigler High School and graudated in 1977. In 1994, she was emplolyed at Quitman County Board of Education, as a paraproessional, and remained there until her death. She is one who will be remembred for her contagious smile, generous heart, and helping hand. She was preceded in death by her father, her brother, Marion Billings, Jr. and nephew, Antonio Dennard.
Those left to cherish her memories are her four daughters, Shatelle Billings, Dante (Ronnie Parsons) Billings, Ebony (Michael) Billings-Mitchell, and Shante (Jolan Covin)Billings; eight grandkids, Marcus Billings, Shahee Billings, Shamiya Billings, Rantrell Billings, Shamiir Billings, Ai'Yonna Grubbs, Taniyah Grubbs, Ja'Liyah Covin; a mother, Dorothy Billings; seven sisters, Johnnie Billings, Ruby Billings, Barbara Billings, Lisa Billings, Deborah Billings, JoAnn thoas Brown, and Sharon Parker; one brother, Robert Billings, Sr.; ten aunts, Maggie (Eddie) Peterson, Louise (William) Wilson, Annette (Sampson) Hodge, Emma (Eddie)McFolley, Eddie Mae (Bobby)Braswell, Evon (Jerome Upshaw) Thornton, Shirley Brown, Barbara (Eddie) Cook, (special aunt) Patricia Thornton, and Martha Wallace; two uncles, Thomas Clay Wilson Jr. and Billy R. Brown; special friend, Eugene "Jock" Jones; two God-sisters, Brenda Norris & Loretta Thomas; special student, Marcus Johnson; coworkers and students from Quitman County School District; and a hst of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
