Mary Lee (Pearson) Ford

Southern Memorial Funeral Home of Eufaula and Dothan Alabama. Sadly announces the passing of Ms. Mary Lee Ford of Clayton Alabama.

Ms. Mary Pearson Ford was born on August 18, 1944 to the late Mattie Bell Thompkins Pearson and Oree (Reese) Pearson, Sr. She departed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her home.

She was educated at the Barbour County Training School.

At an early age she joined the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, later moving her membership to St. Mark Baptist Church.

She was united in holy matrimony to Alvin Ford and to this union four children was born.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful and loving memories; her four children, Alfred (Sandra) Ford of Helena, AL, Debra Denise Ford and Mark Anthony Ford of Atlanta, GA, Milton Fitzgerald Ford of Clayton, AL and Preston (Liz) Glover of Eufaula, AL; four grandchildren, two that she reared as her own, Chelsey Diéntji Ford of Hoover, AL and Alvin Christopher Ford of Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Freeman, Alberta Pearson, Rossi Burks, Shelia Russell, Carolyn Daniels all of Clayton, AL, Louise Johnson of Birmingham, AL and Sara Whigham of East Orange, NJ; brothers, Oree Pearson, Jr. and Benjamin (Essie) Wright of Columbus, GA; nephews and nieces (one that she shared a unique understanding with, Angela Burks) and a host of other relatives and friends.
