Mazell Davis Obituary

Southern Memorial Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Ms. Mazell Davis 80 of Clayton Alabama. Services are entrusted to. Southern Memorial. The One's Who Truly Care! Mazell Davis was born to Alvin Ford, Sr. and Levie M. Ford on August 14, 1939 in Clayton, Alabama. She was educated in the Alabama Public School System where she graduated at the top of her class and attended Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama.

Mazell Davis was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed Praising the Lord, singing, cooking and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Ford, Sr. and Levie M. Ford and her brother, Waymon Ford and Alvin Ford, Jr.

We humbly submit to the Will of God and forever cherish her memory: Rosalyn (Alvin) Graham of Shorterville, AL, Michael (Jeanette) Davis of La Mirada, CA, and Rev. Kenneth Davis, Sr. (Shante’) Davis of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Andrea Davis, Aliesha Webb, ShaNonte Davis, Michael Davis, Jr., Kenneth Davis, Jr., Jarrett Davis and ShaKynah Davis; great grandchildren, Jayvion Guilford, Antoine Webb, Jr. and A’mya Webb; four sisters, Shellie Ford, Ida (Whaley) Haslem, Joyce (Tom) Helms and Armittie Washington; five brothers, Rev. John (Laura) Ford, Ronnie Ford, Ellis (Linda) Ford, Otis (Niecy) Ford, and Albert Williams a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, The Righteous Judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. ~II Timothy 4:7-8
