Takesha McCoy Laster was born in December 4, 1996 in Union
Springs, AL. She departed this life on February 7, 2023. She
attended Eufaula High School and afterwards obtained two
degrees: Bachelors in Business Administration and Associates in Criminal
Justice.
Quawanna was a ray of sunshine and a mother that loved her girls. She was
loved by her children, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by aunt, Mary Ann Whigham and uncle, Timothy
McCoy.
Quawanna’s memories will forever the cherished by her three beautiful
daughters, Kristyanna Caple, Quaniyah Caple and Nylah Caple; father, John
Whigham; mother, Takesha (Eric) McCoy Laster; brother, JuJuan Whigham,
sisters, Taquira Whigham, Jaz’Monique Whigham and Jaslyn Whigham, all
of Eufaula, AL and Karrington Arica Jackson-Laster; grandparents, Joann
McCoy, Eufaula, AL, Dornal (Patricia) Whigham, Eufaula, AL and Melvin
Trotter, Fort Myers, FL; uncles, James Whigham of Texas, Don (Sharon)

When she is by your side, the world is filled with life.
When she is around, your days are filled with strife.
A sister is a blessing, who fills your heart with love.
She flies with you in life with the beauty of a dove.
A companion to whom you can express your feelings.
She doesn’t let you get bored at family dealings.
Whether you are having your ups or downs, she always
Helps you with and smile and never frowns.
With a sister you cannot have a grudge.
She is a sweet as chocolate and as smooth as fudge.
Having a sister is not a trend. It’s knowing you can always
turn to her, your best friend.
