It is with very very profound sadness, that I announce the passing of my Grandfather Mr. Raymond Grubbs 89, of Eufaula Alabama. Mr. Raymond Grubbs heard the calling of his Lord and savor Jesus Christ, this morning around 10:10 A.M. Services are being handle, by The Caring Professional Staff of Southern Memorial Funeral Home. The Ones Who Truly Care! When Only The Best Will Do. I John Grubbs. Ask that you please keep our family the Grubbs family in your prayers, as we make this difficult journey in the passing of our Father, Grandfather. Better known to me, as my. Big Poppa.
Mr. Raymond Grubbs was born February 19, 1928 to the late Mr.
& Mrs. Naymond and Lousinne Grubbs of Barbour County,
Alabama. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late, Mary Lee
(Thomas) Grubbs.
In addition to his parents, and his lovely wife, Mary Grubbs, he
was preceeded in death by his three children, Leonard M. Grubbs,
Johnnie M. Grubbs, and James Grubbs; six brothers and three
sisters.
Mr. Grubbs confessed his life at an early age and joined St Mark
Baptist Church of Clayton, AL. He was a faithful servant and
Deacon of St. Mark Baptist Church until his passing.
Raymond, was a faithful father to all of his children,
grandchildren and great grands. The joys of his life was spending
time with his family. His occupation was a farmer, and he served
in that role all of his life until his health began to fail.
Mr. Grubbs was a resident of the Henry County Nursing Home,
where he was loved by all of the Health Care Providers and the
other residents.
He leaves to cherish in his loving memories three sons, Aaron
(Felicia) Grubbs of Baker Hill, AL, Robert (Della) Grubbs of
Clayton, AL, and Willie Grubbs of Ft. Myers, FL; three daughters,
Patricia (Donald) Whigham of Eufaula, AL, Christine Whigham of
Clayton, AL and Maxine (Wesley) Whigham of Dothan, AL; one
sister, Gussie Blackmon of Bluesprings, AL; and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Henry County Health and Rehab, and Southern
Care Hospice Services for the care that was provided to our Father
during his illness. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
