Oh Divine Master, grant not that I may not seek to be consoled, as to console, to

be understood as to understand; for it is in pardoning that we are pardoned and in

dying that we are born to eternal life; as was the life of Mrs. Regusta Wilburn."

Mrs. Regusta was affectionately called by al "Honey or Aunt". Mrs. Regusta was a sweet, loving, giving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a good woman with a quiet and gentle spirit, she really loved her family and her friends. She was a woman full of wisdom. She enjoyed watching family movies life, "The Waltons" and "Little House on the Prairie", old westerns like, "Bonaza", "The Big Valley" and "Texas Rangers" was one of her favorite. Regusta had a melodious voice and loved singing the hymns. She was a natural, when it came to harmonizing. She enjoyed going to church and wearing her variety of hats. She strongly believed a woman head chould be coveered when she entered the house of God, therefore, you would always see her with a hat on her head.

Mrs. Regusta was converted at a young age at Mt. Olivet AME Church, Shellman, GA. She would gladly tell you that she knew for a fact that she had been changed and that she was going to make Heaven her home. She moved her membership along with her family to New Hope Baptist Church. Immediately after leaving Georgia and moving to Alabama she joined St. Luke AME Church, where she served on the Stewardess Board and remained faithful there until her demise.

Mrs. Regusta was married to the late Freddie Carl Wilburn, Sr. She devoted her life to her husband, children and honest hard work. She worked at Barbour County Hospital for forty-one years as a housekeeper attendant. Afterwards, she worked for Eufaula City Schools System as a child nutrition worker until she retired in May 1993. After retiring, she became an active participant of the RSVP, where she enjoyed interacting with other seniors.

Mrs. Regusta was a woman who believed in paying her bills and paying them on time. She had A-1 credit. She tried to drill into all her children the same principle. She often told us, "The only think a poor man has is his creidt and if you don't pay, it is the same thing as lying and stealing, so pay your bills."
